Each time out, we do a little trolling for Spanish mackerel and usually come up with one or two. We hit it right yesterday and put 14 in the box and lost another4-5 that gave us the slip. There are fish along the beaches, but they can be selective if and when they feed. We caught all these in about 1.5 hours.

The weather was absolutely perfect this morning for a nice trip out on the Gulf. We fished in 40-60 ft. of water with visability of 25 ft. and brought home a good amount of grey snapper and a black sea bass. Clients had a great time and a good adventure on the water.

This winter, the weather has not been our friend. We have been forced to cancel too many of our fishing trips because of cold temperatures, windy conditions or rough seas. But, some clients have opted to enjoy an afternoon or sunset cruise. Sure, we would all like to be offshore fishing, but when it isn’t safe, getting out in the water is still better than going to the movies. As you can see from the photos, these folks are enjoying a leisurely trip down the ICW and a short run out into the Gulf to watch the sun dip into the sea. An afternoon cruise works well, too. If you have friends or relatives coming to town, a couple-hour cruise is a nice way to spend the afternoon together. Give us a call and we can get you out on the water.
