Fall is in the air and these cooler water temperatures have the hogfish bite fired up! When the gulf temperatures fall from their summertime high and dip into the 70’s and below the hogfish come into much shallower water. Hanging around ledges and other hard bottom while they spawn, they get much more aggressive and are the prime target for many anglers! Arguably one of, if not the best tasting fish that swims in the gulf! Book a trip to get on some of these hard fighting, tasty fish with us today!

The king mackerel have shown up in numbers, we’re finding them heavy on our artificial reefs on live bait. Red grouper bite has continued to stay fairly steady with some keepers being found around 40-50’ of water. The lane snapper bite as well has really turned on the last week with the mangrove bite starting to get better as well. We are in full blown spring mode!

Spring is officially here!! The offshore king mackerel bite has been awesome and officially turned on along with the Spanish mackerel bite closer in the nearshore wrecks and structure around the bay. We're seeing a hot and heavy grouper bite along with some triggerfish have been caught recently. Gag grouper are still closed however Red Grouper are still open and were just extended through the month of June! Lots of drag screaming action to be had offshore this time of the year!
