Put the trolling gear away the past few trips and did alot of live bait fishing and it has paid off. The amberjacks, yellowjacks,mackerel, and even a nice cobia (which spit the hook at the boat unfortunately) have all been taking a live bait aggressively during the morning hours and then it shuts off as the sun gets higher but much more action than trolling lately. Been emding some trips deep dropping for Vermillion and yelloweye snapper and as long as the current is jist right the bite has been great.
