July Fishing

Fishing has been great this past week, redfish, flounder and seatrout make up the "Inshore Slam", as well as some fine table fare! Get out on the water with Salty Charters of Jacksonville for an essential escape from confinement and boredom!

Cruised the beach this week in search of Cobia from St Augustine to Mayport, while the Cobia were not be found, we ran across a school of huge Black Drum. I estimate this one was about 70 lbs, I sure had a hard time lifting it up! It's always fun to get surprised by an unexpected catch and there are alot of different species on the move this time of the year. The waterways are open, let's go fishing!

Winter fishing has been productive but difficult at times due to windy conditions and cold temps. Our 2 week forecast calls for daytime temps to remain above 70 degrees. Water temperatures will begin to rise quickly bringing an increased quantity of bait and hungry predators! Pictured are a couple nice redfish brought to the boat recently on a cooler day.
