Big Tripletail and Redfish in Stuart

With calm seas we had the opportunity to target Spanish Mackerel along the beach. Normally these macs start showing up in the Stuart area in December but this year thses fish stayed just north of us in Fort Pierce and Vero Beach until mid February where a recent cold front did push them south. Mackerel were caught while casting glass minnow jigs. Someze nice sized sheepshead over 4lbs and a bonus flounder on the bottom.

Fished the Martucci party this morning group of 5. A nice mix of catch and release mutton snapper, ladyfish, jack crevelle along with croaker, sheepshead and pompano for the dinner table. These pompano are just starting to show up and will remain here thru April of next year. All fish today were caught with shrimp on trollrite jigs.

The last 2 trips with smaller groups aboard we had the opportunity to fish livebaits using a combination of croaker and greenies. Some snook and a nice tarpon release. Also fishing with shrimp we are still catching some croaker and snappers.
