This was a Valentines Day trip in Steinhatchee. The day started rough and windy like crazy. Thanks to patient clients and calming winds we finished with a nice flounder and a limit of trout with all released except enough for dinner.

Scallop season is in full swing and all reports are good with limits being accomplished in an hour or 2. The sizes are good as well. Come enjoy a day scalloping or a fish and scallop full day. Great fun with friends and family.

While our small town has had a rough 13 months taking 3 hurricane hits we are fishing and the bite has been great! Reports from my fellow marina mates at Steinhatchee Marina at Deadman's Bay have been loaded with trout and reds as the fish are schooling up with the cooler temperatures. Yes many restaurants are still closed or wiped out but, some are open and could use the business. If you need a place to stay you may have to look in nearby towns. WE ARE OPEN FOR FISHING. Added bonus fishing pressure is very low.
