Our day started out calm and with a slow bite. After a short ride we made a couple of stops and the trout started biting. The wind picked up a little and the trout came on as the day progressed. My clients were not going to keep anything at the beginning of the day, but decided to keep two fish so they could have them for lunch. When the fillets were ready they took them to their server at Goodrich seafood restaurant and had them cooked for a great lunch, what a way to end the day.

The bite is back! We released four just like this one and took one home for dinner.

The fishing has been really good the last couple of weeks! Trout and redfish are closed right now, but my clients today (Kevin and Danielle) weren't interested in keeping anything. The Snook was a hot bite but mostly undersized. There were plenty of keeper Trout, but you can't keep them until Jan. 1st. Black Drum and Redfish have both been a hot bite if you know where to look. Altogether, it was a great day!
