We caught every type of fish in key west you could imagine with our great customers from the UK.

Sunset Blackfin Tuna bite on the Coolcast today with Capt. Nick Diorio also caught some nice size Mahi for this time of year. We also had a huge Wahoo sky rocket our flat line close to the boat but wasn't able to get him hooked

What an unbelievable offshore month of fishing we have had this past August. Every day we have gotten into loads of Mahi from 5 lbs to 38lbs. Gulf Stream has been close and with the light southeast wind we have had it has formed up some beautiful weed lines. After loading up with mahi and wahoo we have targeted the huge schools of birds that have been on the Skip jack and Blackfin Tuna. Trolling small squid jigs and tuna tango lures way back on spinners we have been loading up with the white and red meat for your coolers. Captain Grant on the Coolcast came in this past week with 40 Dolphin and some nice gaffer size with the Family from Oklahoma. Please come join us soon.

We have been crushing the Snapper on the reef limiting out every day this past week. The live bait wreck fishing has been great as well with a ton of action, we have caught greater amberjack, cobia, yellow jacks and mutton snapper this past week. This week we have the Lobster Mini Season which is Wednesday and Thursday and a great time for you to come join us. We take people out morning or afternoon trip to the reef and catch our lobster and then can finish up fishing the reef or wrecks. You are allowed 6 lobsters per person and we can help you catch the lobster if you have never done this great experience. We always clean your catch for you after the trip and there are many restaurants around town that will cook your catch for you. This week here at Fish Key West Florida we have experienced some red hot reef fishing. With a good running west tide the Yellowtail Snapper has been really good. Along with the Yellowtail we have been doing well on the Mutton Snapper, and a few Grouper as well. I always tell people fishing the reef is where your going to catch your dinner. We had a charter on Friday the consisted of two women staying at the beautiful Hyatt Resort, whom wanted to book a sunset 4 to 8 charter with us. There goal was to catch some fish, and have the Hyatt restaurant cook it up for them we they got back in. Well that’s exactly what they did. Capt. Nick on the Coolcast picked them up behind the Hyatt (by boat) at 4:00 and went to the reef. Within a couple hours they caught their limit of huge flag size Yellowtail Snapper and were ready to come in for dinner. Once back at the Hyatt dock, Capt. Nick filleted the fish and they walked up to the hostess, gave her the portion they wanted cooked, and sat down for an amazing sunset dinner. It doesn’t get fresher than that.
