Late summer brings the Tunas! The offshore sea mounts tuna have arrived! When the sargassum weed allows trolling the bites very strong If conditions are right. Early mornings and cloudy conditions! The dolphin are still here but need to be hunted. Half day trips as a rule will not allow dolphin fishing as the mileage is high on the reef the snappers are there but so are the sharks, getting a snapper last the taxman can be frustrating, but a 400 pound catch and release shark can be fun to pull on. . For the deepdrop angler this is a great season! If you can hold bottom the tiles and snowys are chewing. This is one of my favorite times here as the number of tourists shrinks as the kids head back to school! Take advantage of this season!

One of the best tmes of year is almost here. Less crowded around here! The larger mahi show up! The waters stay warm untill november and dolphin remain! This is also the time to swordfish! The larger fish frequent arrive now. Do not let the weatherman keep you away!

Mahi fishing is improving, not a ton of large fish but good numbers of eating size fish, five to ten pounds. The black fins Tunas have been in the area also. Taking sailfish on the edge! One of favor things is fishing the deep reefs from 400 to 900 foot. Tilefish and snowy groupers along with other species has just opened and fishing well when the weather permits. It’s been a cloudy rainy week here and hopefully improved next week!! Tight mind
