Fall Fishing Right around the Corner

August is often referred to as the dog days of summer. Fishing can be difficult this time of year. Experience and knowledge to overcome these challenges are important to put real fish in the boat. Of course, fishing charters are not always about just catching fish. This is entertainment and sometimes the fish just don't want to entertain. That's where sightseeing, jokes, stories, and just good conversation come into play. A good captain will keep you entertained no matter what happens out there. I would much rather the fish entertain, because it makes my job easier and well catching fish gets me in a better mood to entertain as well. As I look back at the pictures and reflect on some of our trips this August the fish definitely kept us entertain. Looking forward to September and some really good fishing as the water temperatures start to cool down. See ya on the water!

We were looking for some little critters to keep the kids busy. We got few good surprises from some nice hard pulling black drum. Our water temperature has really warmed up and all sorts of critters are starting to nibble. Live shrimp and menhaden are filling up our waters and the predator fish are following. Its time, let's go fishing! See ya on the water.

Live shrimp starting to show up in the creeks which is the favorite food of almost all species we target. With shrimp showing up they bring the fish with them.
