Things slowed down after the tide change, so we pivoted to rocky bottom and the cusk starting voming over the gunnel. A smooth trip in, with the firdt bluefin breaking top water sighted this season. Storms the night before seemed to scatter the bait. No luck with mackerel early, so headed off looking for schools of bunker. The rain looked to have pushed them off-shore as well. Finally found a good school of Macks off the gloucedter humps. Loaded the baitwell and set ip for stripers. The action was fast a consistent, with 8 fish landed in 90 minutes - several over slot.
