It was a foggy day but the winds were light and the temperature mild (60) for this time of year. We landed some nice crappie and white bass on trolled crankbaits.

Chickamauga fish cooperated on this beautiful spring day. Over 20 crappie were landed with about 17 keeper-sized. However, all fish were released to fight another day. Largest fish of the day was 14 inches which qualies the angler for the Tennessee Angler Recognition Program award.

We caught black crappie and white and yellow bass trolling jigs and crankbaits. Most the crappie were small (8-10 inches), but we did manage to take several to 13 inches.

The Chickamauga wind finally gave us a bit of a break today, and our fishing improved. Solo angler got his limit of keeper crappie (including a 15 inch TARP qualifier) on a short trip today.
