Fall inshore fishing can be explosive! Expect to catch a variety of fish nearshore and in the backwaters right now. On this afternoon of Jeremy’s Birthday the action started out a little slow but steady and got better as the hours passed. We managed to box 5 sheepshead, 2 groundmullet, several white trout, 4 black drum and released 2 giant black drum. My guests also reeled in several speckled trout but they were just a 1/2” shy of the legal size (15”) so they got yo swim away. The tug is the drug!

What a fun afternoon with my new friends from Minnesota! They gave me a call yesterday morning looking to fish that afternoon. I was able to get my boat launched and in the slip to take them aboard at 1 oclock. A very short time later we were on the spot and slinging fish in the boat. The action was hot n heavy all afternoon. These results can typically be expected throughout the winter on my half day trips. I have centrally relocated to Gulfport Harbor and my slip is located just East of the Light House.
