10 October 2022 Fishing Report

26 April 2023 Fishing Report. It was a rougher ride out than expected, but luckily we didn’t have far to go. Found a nice change and weedline about 16 miles off the beach. Got a couple Dolphin bites as soon as we slowed down and put baits out. The wind died out a little for a couple hours and we fished that changed for 10 miles down the beach picking at Dolphin as we went. Didn’t hear much activity anywhere else so we stayed on it. The seas didn’t help at times and a lot of fish pulled hooks and we weren’t able to get them going by bailing, but Jimmie and his crew hung tough and put a few dozen in the box. Caught a small Sailfish along the way, but we weren’t able to get pictures before it came off on the leader.

The Blackfins bit for a little while in the morning. A real pretty weedline formed up by the afternoon and we were able to add a 45lb Wahoo and a handful of Dolphins to the box.

The Tunas werent cooperating so we went to the bottom, with baits and lead if course. Found a nice class of Triggerfish and Vermillion Snapper, and one noce sized Greater Amberjack.
