The bite is heating up!

We’ve had an AMAZING few days on the water thanks to calm seas and beautiful weather! ☀️ We’ve been able to mix it up offshore and inshore, taking full advantage of the extended red snapper season ?? and also putting together some great trips catching sheepshead. We seriously couldn’t have asked for a better week of fishing! As we head into the next few days, cooler air and a north wind will move in ?️❄️, bringing rougher seas. Sunday is shaping up to be the last pretty day to fish the Gulf for a little while before we tuck back into more protected waters. ? In town for New Year’s and looking to go fishing? We caught these King on spinning rods using drifting live bait. The bite was off the hook, we had double and triple hookups. The fish caught average 10 lb the largest being 30lbs. We had a blast!!!

We ventured out into the Gulf within state waters and found some nice BIG red snapper, and a Stud for a Cobia. These Snapper ranged from 15-25 lbs. We caught these snapper using 40 lb mono on penn rod and reels. We caught all of these snapper on fresh dead bait that was caught days previous to the trip then frozen and also some live bait caught the morning of the trips. These fish put up a great fight making them very fun to catch. We hope you like what you see!!!
