Early morning low tide sight fish can be addictive! Spotted this 30” fish crawling along the bank just as the sun was peaking over rhe trees. Billy put thw fly right on her nose and it was on!

Had an open day so went to explore the backwater for bass. Fish at every stop, on light tackle with jig heads and gulp. A great day, with really active bass. The ocean migration is heading south and we are days away from epic ocean bass action with fish in the 30 - 50" range.

Had Maggie R and her dad out for a morning on the AC reef. First drop and she slammed a nice 17" sea bass. The fishing continued to stay hot, and over 30 fluke came over the rails, with 3 coming home for dinner! The key is stay tight to the structure and have fresh strip baits. Feels like the reef is finally hitting it's stride and I'm looking for a great second half of fluke season!
