Today’s half day trip out of Río Hotel Guanacaste delivered a great mix of action and quality catches. We landed a solid Pacific mackerel, followed by a beautiful yellowtail snapper, both showing strong fights and great energy on the line. We had a great day on the water with a successful catch of a large roosterfish near the shoreline in the Flamingo area, covering Conchal and Potrero. The fish was safely released. We also spent time fishing around the Catalina Islands, adding to a productive and enjoyable trip overall.

We completed a great 3-day fishing trip in Guanacaste, Costa Rica aboard One More with Captain Arnaldo. Fishing different areas including Penaguaste and Los Raspados in Papagayo, the trip produced solid results. We successfully caught and released 4 roosterfish, along with 5 needlefish, 2 pompano, 1 bonito and 1 grouper. Conditions varied throughout the trip, but overall it was a very good sportfishing Costa Rica experience, targeting both inshore and reef species.
