I would absolutely recommend fishing i Puerto Aventuras if it is your first trip. Fishing is close to the port and shore. Bottom fish and trolling are both available.

Day we went conditions were nearly perfect, only cautionary advice I would give is that it a can be windy this month and it's still early for some species . We did see a whale and sea lions and dolphins!

While bottom fishing, check your line frequently for any abrasions on your fishing line. We lost a few baits and fish due to the line weakness because of the sharp rocks.

Be prepared for offshore fishing with large swells (they were up to 2m or 7ft for us) with cross waves, being out for the day in the sun and without a bathroom on board which is just a part of fishing offshore in a 26ft panga. If you are fishing for marlin and sail fish be physically very taxing specially for the blue and black marlin but even a sailfish or stripped marlin is a big effort to land.

great trip great boat very professional fishermen would recommend that 8 hours for anybody we caught 4marlin with 7 bites they took good care of us great food and drinks they work hard to catch

Come with a mindset of patience. I was prepared to catch nothing, targeting only marlin and yellowfin tuna. The ocean is a big place and it will take sometime to find what you looking for. But the reward is worth it when it all comes together
