Day we went conditions were nearly perfect, only cautionary advice I would give is that it a can be windy this month and it's still early for some species . We did see a whale and sea lions and dolphins!

While bottom fishing, check your line frequently for any abrasions on your fishing line. We lost a few baits and fish due to the line weakness because of the sharp rocks.

Rock Point Fishing Club – Wanderlust
only rating 4 stars because its not sport fishing time, but if you from AZ, fishing here is a real treat. I went fishing myself and had instant bites. rock bass and whiting were not even letting me hit bottom before i was bit.

Keep your hooks baited and on the bottom. we used 6 oz weights due to the strong current. Keep in contact with your line and watch where it is to avoid tangles.

I would look at a weather forecast and wind forecast. Pick a day that seems to look the best for you. Blue and pink jigs in the 80-100 gram weight work well for those that like to use artificial baits. Check your line frequently for abrasions. You will be fishing in very Rocky bottom areas. We lost several bait rigs because of the abrasions on our fishing line.
