Been catching a lot of fish and big fish on reaction baits. With the hot weather, buzzbaits and frogs have been working best. There are still a few hitch eaters, and catching them on glide baits early in the morning lake. Lake is fishing great, the south end has been producing nice fish on jigs and crankbaits.

The fish have finished the spawn and are moving out to the ledges and rock piles. There is a very good bite going on crankbaits, jigs and worms. Averaging about 20 to 30 fishing a day.

The start of May is a great time to sight fish for spawning bass. Drop shots and swimbaits work great when they are doing their deal. With the warm weather fish are also starting to suspend underneath the docks. Ive been targetibg these fish by skipping senkos underneath the docks into the shade.

Spinnerbaits and chatterbaits are working well in the tulies. Fish are in 3 to 8 feet of water. Concentrate on the tulies that are alive and healthy. 80 degrees weather this week, fish should start spawning this week.

With the recent cold front, the fish tucked into the heavy cover. We were able to flip around 15 fish using heavy braided line and a jig into the tules.
