We had a great catch today Feb 14, we went about 20-25 miles off-shore and we came across moss and planks floating (what we call a raffle) and caught some Dorado and Kingfish... we ended with 20 heads. For the last two weeks we have been catching some nice size Wahoo.. We also raised a few marlin but they didn't stick we were not targeting them so its good sign as they are feeding a bit more inshore on the inside contour. The fishing season is starting to kick in, our main season is from January to mid May with peak months in Feb to April, where we have a migration of many ocean species, such as Blue Marlin, Sailfish, White Marlin, Tuna, Wahoo & Dorado. On Sunday Jan 18,2015 we set out and we were hooked up with in 15 minutes with a quadruple hit of Wahoo and we landed all! Two were over 40lbs and two were in the 20lb range. We then continued to another bar and fished a moss line where we raised a dorado. The week before we raised a couple of sailfish where we landed one and the other spat the hook. Some Marlin are also starting to come through as we raised a few in the past week but they were juveniles, so its looking great and perfect time to go fishing! Which I am also doing on my day off with my two sons!
