My son and I booked a last minute trip with the Drop Back. Captain Jon was great to work with! Super knowledgeable, really friendly, and makes you feel at home the second you step aboard. His mate, Craig, was outstanding! He worked nonstop to keep lines baited and in the water and a lot of fun to fish with! I can’t say enough nice things about these two guys - I highly recommend!

Our Charter fell when a tropical wave was impacting the Keys. Capt Jon found a window in the weather where we could safely go out. We caught a bunch of yellowtail snapper, a bunch of bonitos, and an Amberjack. Capt Jon is extremely knowledgeable and does a great job teaching his clients what is needed to catch the target species. He and first mate, Craig, were extremely patient and excellent with our kids! We’ll fish with them anytime we are planning a trip to the Keys!

I was apprehensive with going fishing with our 2.5 year old toddler but at the harbour it was clear this was certainly a child friendly charter. Jon took my son and showed him the boat which really was a nice touch and got him comfortable with the boat before we left. My family and I had a great afternoon with Jonathan and TJ, it’s clear that they have extensive fishing knowledge and although fishing was a little slow on the day, conversation flowed naturally. I brought 4 of my 5 kids (13, 8, 6 & 3) on an evening shark trip and it was a blast! My daughters all caught big sharks and the crew is absolutely top notch. These guys made us feel at home and comfortable. I highly recommend making this a priority to make some lasting memories for any vacationers, especially if you have children. We’ll be back for more next year for sure!
