With rather mild temps for August, the water temps have stayed around 85° and the fish are loving it!

July Fishing!!

It's been a brutal summer so far with record-setting temps. The water temp is nearly 90° in the harbor and hotter in the creeks. Lits of juvenile trout and slot Redfish being caught in the early mornings and sharks are thick in the harbor. Bull Redfish bites are good when they are good and bad when they are bad. Did I mention it's HOT!!

With the water temps dropping, these Redfish are beginning to school up and can be found in super shallow water!

3 Hour Inshore Fishing(AM)

We had a great day out with Captain Justin. He was patient with our teenage boys and did a nice job teaching and guiding them throughout the trip. We caught a mix of redfish, trout, and a flounder, and he kept us on fish most of the time. He was easy to talk to and made for a relaxed, enjoyable experience on the water. Overall, a really solid trip and a good choice for families.

(except perhaps with the fish, lol) Both those young men were polite, patient, and followed instructions very well. Not to mention they CAN FISH! Had an amazing time out on the water and caught more sharks than I ever expected. The action started pretty quickly and didn’t let up, definitely one of the best fishing days I’ve had. Captain Justin was excellent. Super knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and made sure everyone knew what they were doing. Captain Griffin has a wonderful boat, gear , and attitude to make anyone’s fishing trip sucessful! Even if we had caught no fish, the day would have been completely sucessful. Sharing a day with a very nice, knowledgeable, and competent guide on the water is really all you can ask. With that said, 2- Reds over 40 inches, several more too big to eat, only hurt my belly and not my pride! My son and I had a wonderful morning to make a lasting memory! Thanks, Captain Griffin!
