We had a perfect day for fishing and Captain Larry got us on fish right away.  He was professional and very knowledgeable.  The boat was immaculate and comfortable.  We caught about 45 fish, including 2 keeper flounder and 5 keeper sea bass.  The sharks were pesky and we hooked one.  It interrupted the fishing, but it was very cool so we didn’t mind.  The marina was easy to find and had a restaurant where we had lunch.  We wished the restaurant did cook your catch, but we cooked it that... This was our family’s first ocean fishing experience. The captain put us onto fish, explained the process, and was encouraging to my children.  In the end, we were able to catch enough fish for a very delicious dinner, and my son even got to fight a shark (but did not land it before it broke free). I would highly recommend this captain and crew, and am looking forward to next year so we can try it again.

My 13 y/o son loves to fish, and at the last minute we booked a 2-hr inland trip with Larry and Bill. They could not have been kinder to my son. We lucked out with great weather and by landing a nice striper! Larry and Bill patiently answered our questions and gave my son tips he can use back home. Plus, given the cost of fuel and that we used live bait, the price point was very reasonable. Definitely recommend!

My son and I have annual fishing trips most every June to celebrate Father’s Day and his Birthday.  We try out new boat’s and locations occasionally.  This year my son found Makai.  Fishing was great, but the main reason we enjoyed the trip was the capt and mate are great people, hard working and helpful. We will definitely be a returning client of Capt. Larry.  It was one of the most enjoyable trip we have had.

Took 2 boys (14) out for a first time ocean fishing trip. We did the 6hr inshore trip which turn into a great day. Captain Lawrence found plenty of fish to keep the boys active throughout the trip. First mate Bill was always on top of the action lending assistant and keeping lines in the water. He often work an additionalline and would call for one of the boys to reel in the fish. Great day!!
