Took my 7yo on the reef trip this week.  Alfonso and Hipolito his first mate gave us an A+ experience!

Booking process, logistics and communications = simple, easy to get a hold of and no issues at all in planning.  boat was easy to get to and parking was easy.

Boat was super clean and gear was in great shape.  Alfonso has fresh fruit and drinks for us.

Alfonso knows these waters in detail.  We trolled king, mackerel, and wahoo, and wow, they definitely had the right bait and skill, unfortunately nothing was biting.  Affonso decided to make sure that we got a good catch, so we pivoted to bottom fishing for trigger fish and red snapper, and 30 minutes to be caught a great haul!!

when we gor back at the shore, the crew has a relationship with the restaurant at the dock and they were able to clean and cook the fish for us right there (and fast). Delicious feast and Aflono join us to eat it and talk fishing with us.

100% would book again, and plan to do so!

Alfonso and Palo are hands down the best people to book a fishing trip with in Playa del Carmen. This experience was the absolute highlight of our entire trip. They were both incredible hosts and went above and beyond to cater to everything we wanted. We booked a six-hour trip and, although the first few hours were slow with no catches, Alfonso took us to a beautiful snorkeling spot where Palo showed us an amazing variety of marine life. We had previously done a snorkeling tour in Puerto Morelos, but this experience from Alfonso’s boat was on a completely different level. On the way back, our luck finally turned and we caught a huge king mackerel, which truly made the day unforgettable. Once back on land, Alfonso cleaned the fish and we enjoyed an incredible feast together. The boat is well equipped, and both of them are genuinely wonderful people. If you’re considering a fishing or snorkeling trip in Playa de Carmen, look no further — Alfonso and Palo are the ones to book with.

As this was our first time out and my son’s 16th, thought I’d treat him to this. Unfortunately the captains boat broke down the night before but was able to set us up with another. Alfonso was a very gracious host and Gustavo (other captain) was great. Leo, first mate was super knowledgeable. Ocean was a bit on the choppy side for my sons liking but once the fish started biting he forgot all about it. Cooked up the days catch at the Asi Restaurant which everyone loved and the other food we ordered was fantastic. Overall, cray awesome time, loved every minute. Will do it again next year. !! 🤙

Fishing was on the slow side for the entire fleet this day, but Alfonso and Leo are a hard working fishy pair.

We tried a variety of techniques and locations, finding red snapper part way through the morning.

While we had some boat trouble (these things happen) what really was impressive was Alfonso leveraging his network and decades of experience to get us a few more spots to fish and a safe ride home. That kind of hiccup will entirely derail some trips and Alfonso’s confidence and ability helped everyone take it in stride and enjoy the remainder of the morning.

Would recommend as a captain and mate working that hard on a slow day would be superstars when the fish are on!

What great afternoon.  Alfonso was an amazing host and captain.  He explained what would be doing for the trip and what fish we may catch.  We would have enjoyed the boat trip as we saw flying fish, pelicans and to.top.it off bull sharks on our return.
ww caught bonito, Spanish mackerel, lost a really decent fish, but stopped and all caught snapper and smaller fish.

All in all, amazing value for money and would recommend to anybody.
