I had an amazing fishing trip with The Longrun. From start to finish, everything was top-notch. The captain was knowledgeable, professional, and clearly passionate about fishing, which made the whole experience both fun and productive. The boat was clean, well-equipped, and comfortable, and we felt safe the entire time.

The crew worked hard to put us on fish and were great about helping with gear, techniques, and tips, no matter your experience level. We caught plenty of fish and had a great time doing it. The atmosphere was relaxed, friendly, and well-organized.

If you’re looking for a memorable fishing trip with a crew that truly knows what they’re doing, I highly recommend The Longrun. I’ll definitely be booking again!

We have a really nice day with Captain and Crew (Josh and Tyler). Even though we had some spotty rain weather they made sure to keep the gear going and we were hitting fish.
It was just an easy day to let us socialize with each other while they did all the work!
We took home a couple fish, and the filets were cut perfectly 👌!

We booked our charter through fish booker 2 days in advance. The Captain apparently did not see the booking so we never had any correspondence until the morning of the trip when I looked up the company directory online and then called myself at about 0700. Our trip began at 12:30pm and I will say after speaking to the captain he sorted things out and made them happen quickly instead of blowing it off.

I requested to pay with a credit card and the captain confirmed that he understood and that it was an option with a 5% interest fee. However, upon arrival paying with a cash type of app was the only option as the captain wasn’t there, just the guide for our boat whomsaid he couldn’t run credit cards.

We had 5 fisherman. All of our poles were rigged the same using anchovies as bait with fairly small hooks for inshore fishing. out target species we were told were bass and halibut and we may catch sharks, stingray, etc.

We landed one bass. The guide removed it from the hook and immediately threw it overboard to a pelican and didnt allow our child to get a photo first.

In the 6 hour trip we didnt get a pole in the water for a solid hour for the bait run and then moving to the first spot. we moved spots 4-5 times taking 15- 20 minutes each time to move. We had 3-4 solid hits with big stuff on. the line broke each time.  after a couple of breaks there was no change made to our rigs. no metal leaders. no acknowledgement that we may be hitting sharks that are biting right through the line. so we were stuck with catching a small fish or letting large fish tear the hook off the line. my fish broke through twice. both broke with the drag actively humming.

The guide was nice enough. not much for talking or teaching. never asked what our expectations might be.

When you drop $1000 in 6 hours you should expect to be able to fish more and adjust the rigs to what’s happening in the water. 

Overall experience was okay. We have been on one other charter. That charter blew this one out of the water in terms of customer service and satisfaction.

We had a great time on our trip! Captain Mike was awesome and made you feel at home .  The deckhands , Jimmy and Alfonzo were awesome. They made it fun and were very helpful. We will definitely go again with this crew.

The crew went above and beyond , they did everything they could to go after yellow tail, and swordfish,  we just could get a bite. We did cath some rock fish and that made the trip for me: to see my grandsons catch something made it worth it.. Thanks Mike and Jimmy and of course Nate..
