This was my first trip to Cabo. I really wanted to go fishing so I found this booking site with a lot of offers. At first it was just me going so I looked for a charter that was well priced and where I could get a full fishing experience. I’m experienced with small boats s the panga met my expectations fully, and when my wife decided to join me, it still felt roomy and comfortable for both of us.
I was hoping for a good skipper and Captain Johnny turned out to be superb. He has a great, easy going personality and we caught fish when other charters weren’t doing so well, so he knows his styff. We had great interaction in every aspect of our outing which made the day very special, even for my wife who got to see whales, great views of the coast, and even play a nice wahoo. we caught four varieties of fish including a large Mahi Mahi bull which took about 20-25 minutes to get in the boat.
The whole adventure couldn’t have gone better and made for an unforgettable outing for my wife and me.

I went fishing with Johnny today as the last day of 2025. It was a very successful trip and I hightly recommend anyone to book fishing trip with Johnny at Cabo.

Based on my trip, Johnny is an experienced captain who put his customers first. He picked me up at a spot that was more convenient for me ahead of schedule. Also, despite our trolling for marlin didn’t get any bite, I can tell he is very experienced and continuously making efforts to maximize the chance of getting a bite.

We switched plan to catch roosterfish and within 45min, I landed 3 roosterfishes with first and second fish were double hook ups.

Johnny also took GoPro video for me fighting with the catch with some underwear footages looked fantastic.

From the moment we met Captain Johnny at the dock to the time we parted ways, he and his crew made us feel welcome, safe, and comfortable as we spent the day on the water. The Blue Sea team was super accommodating of a last minute change to our itinerary, even upgrading our boat in the process. Not only that, Captain Johnny got us right onto the fish for some outstanding Dorado action, limiting the boat with 3 or 4 fish on at a time. I’ve done plenty of charter trips, and was 100% pleased with the service, experience, and pleasure of Johnny’s company during a day of fishing in the sun. We loved it so much we are heading back in April and will spend at least 2 or 3 days fishing with the Blue Sea crew this time!

Johnny was great! Started the morning trolling for Marlin, dorado and wahoo. unfortunetly that didnt pan out on our trip. But johnny was determined that we would not go back to the dock empty handed, he put us on some really fun and beautiful roosterfish. Not everyday is going to be a record day, but Johnny sure tries to make it happen. we had a blast. My girlfriend really enjoyed the marine life that was all around us. whales, pelicans, sea lions, jumping Maco sharks and even marlin swimming on top of the surface. the sea is full of life in Cabo!

I cannot say enough about Captain Johnny Sanchez. I have been fishing with Johnny several times now and have gotten the chance to get to know him pretty well over the years. I can say that there is not a more hard working and honest guy out there. He cares more about his work and making his clients happy than anyone else I have ever seen. And talk about knowing fish, this man knows fish like no one else. He can put you on fish in all conditions. Some days are better than others, and he will give you realistic expectation of the day you are booked, but Johnny will give you the best chance possible of getting the trophy fish you want for the picture and for the table.
