Rocha picked us up right at the beach behind the Los Suenos Marriott. Hopped right on the boat. He had ice, drinks and chips for us. Started out fishing for sailfish, it was an afternoon excursion so we knew it was not likely. We then headed out 10 more miles and saw the largest school of dolphins ever! A true sign that tuna was there. We got our rods ready and immediately hooked a tuna. It was exciting for sure! We brought in a 60 pound tuna in minutes! What a fun day. We will definitely use... We went out with Captain Rocha and caught rooster fish, spanish mackerel, rainbow runners and needle fish. The captain was very responsive and helpful. He even helped me decide which gear to bring to surf fish on my own during my trip and also offered us a ride if we needed one. We made a plan on what we wanted to target before the trip whcih was amazing!! Entire trip was tip top.  We had a first timer with us, She caught, we all caught.  Yellow fin were biting, landed 6.  We really appreciated all that the crew did.  They busted their tails to get us on fish, spent more time than they needed to and made this a very productive and enjoyable experience.  They had some snacks, but not a lot.  Sodas and water, some local beer,  not enough for a party but good enough.  There is storage so bring more beer and sandwiches if you think you will... Son really wanted to catch a sail fish. Started out the morning catching mahi. Guys jumped 4 sail fish for us, but we couldn’t stay hooked up. Was an awesome experience and the guys did there best to give us what we came for, but that’s why they call it fishing. Awesome Trip overall. Great value for fishing Costa Rica.

The captain and mates were super friendly. We went on an all day trip. They worked the entire time to help us catch something. It was a slow day at sea with all the boats out there catching nothing. The water was super clear and flat so I assume the tuna were easily spooked. The crew never gave up though. They took us bottom fishing in 400 foot water and we landed a couple of Groupers.
