We had an incredible experience with Pirate Fishing Tours in Santorini! Even though the fish weren’t biting much that day, it was more than enough for a delicious BBQ that the crew cooked for us right on board—fresh, flavorful, and unforgettable.

Captain Makis, with over 30 years of fishing experience around Santorini, made the trip even more special by sharing stories from his life as a fisherman. His passion for the sea really shines through. The boat itself was custom-built, very comfortable, and perfectly suited for a relaxing day on the water.

The crew, Maria and Elias, were simply outstanding—funny, kind, knowledgeable about the island, and always making sure we had drinks in hand. They kept the mood light, the laughs going, and created such a welcoming atmosphere that made us feel right at home.

Captain Makis and his daughter Maria and their BB 😆 Elias were great.  So much fun!  Experienced, professional and knowledgeable.  Elias was super personable and Makis knew the waters and islands like the back of his hand.  Great back story. Maria is a sweet girl that my daughter got to sit and chat with.  Unfortunately we only caught 1 fish (bluefin), they didn’t seem to be biting but they figured out how to make a lunch of it…which was delicious.  Even my 9 year old complimented the food.  They took us to a beautiful cove to snorkel and swim.  Would definitely recommend!

Mikas & Elios were very prompt to the dock welcoming us with high fives, smiles, and hugs. They were a wealth of knowledge in sharing the history of Santorini. Within the first few minutes of departing, we had our lines in the water in search of grouper. We caught fish right away. They pulled off into a little cove and the captain cooked us a delicious meal that included fresh ceviche from the fish we caught. The boat was beautiful, spacious, and comfortable. Atmosphere was incredible and very scenic. We would do this again if we return to Santorini.

Captain Makis and First Mate Ilios (Spelling?) were great. Shared alot of info around the area. We had a fantastic lunch with the fish that we had caught. I have previously fished with this Captain and have never been disappointed. He had a very nice new boat this year. It was nice to see things are going well for him. This is the Captain that you need to fish with in Santorini!

We had a great time catching fish! The absolute best part was getting to eat our catch of the day for lunch. A unique experience we’ll remember forever. The captain and crew were very easy going and fun to hang out with.
