This was a fun trip with my boys.  The captain allowed us to have a short party and split the trip with other anglers and we had a fun group.  The trip was great and the crew did an amazing job. The boat was clean, Captain Dan put us on the fish and the first mate Cross ( awesome name by the way) did a great job keeping the whole group entertained while making jokes and good conversation.  And bonus——We left with a cooler of fish.  As an out of stater who wanted to catch big fish instead of a cooler full of smaller pan friers though, I wish we spend the majority of time fishing for shark instead of meat hunting for the cooler but hey —-Who complains about fish in the cooler.  Great job guys!!!!

This was our first time going out deep sea fishing we were very excited. Captain Carson and Roger did an outstanding job with us. Keeping us baited up moving us to our great location! Our youngest daughter which is 10 was catching back to back. We moved a little bit around and then came to a shark spot. My husband caught about 4.5ft 40lbs hammerhead. It was so cool!!! We had the best time and will definitely do it again when we come bk. Watch out guys next time going to go deeper in the seas!!!

We were just looking to catch some fish during our 5hr morning trip, not hunting anything specific. Captain Carson and first mate Ty suggested we troll for Spanish mackerel, then bottom fish, and finish up looking to hook a shark. And that’s exactly what happened.

We caught a few trolling, missed more than we got in the boat as we headed to a spot to bottom fish. We ended up catching a variety of fish including some we kept as bait. We reeled in a couple dogfish too, before relocating one last time to look for something bigger. That’s exactly what happened as we ended the day with my son landing a 5’ hammerhead. What a day!

When we make it back this way, we’ll definitely book with Fish Hook Charters again, and highly recommend to anyone else thinking about fishing in the North Myrtle Beach area!

This was my first time with these guys, had a blast shortly after setting off I caught my first Spainish mackerel we caught 5 total followed by catching my first sea robin a couple of Black Sea bass then a hammerhead shark and a couple of keychain sharks while I was told by the crew and the captain that today was slow for action by comparison of another fishing charter I’ve used it was way more than expected and I will definitely be coming back

When we arrived at the dock we were highly concerned about the weather but Mike and Ty both were confident that the storm would be gone in about 20 minutes.  Low and behold it blew over and we headed out. We let them know we were on this trip for our 11 year olds birthday wish. They both made sure we all had a good time and that our 11 year old was able to catch some fish along with some sharks. What a great time.  I highly recommend.
