During the trip you might be spinning, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.

If you're traveling with the family, you will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board.

Your adventure begins aboard a 33' Boston Whiler with capacity for 4 passengers. It has downriggers, all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There's a toilet on board for your convenience.

You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.

You'll have the help of a first mate to put you on fish. Mates often work for tips and it's customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.

There's no need to buy a fishing license, just show up ready for a good time! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.

A few items to bring: sunglasses, sunblock (non-spray), towell, and a hat. There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be food and some light snacks included, lunch in 8 hours charters. FREE boat pick up at Papagayo area.
