Morning Trip - Late Start on July 30, 2025 • 4 adults
I reserved this trip for my husband (Aj), mother (Jean), son (Chris), and son-in-law (Will). None of them had ever experienced this kind of fishing, but had always wanted to. My mother can’t swim and has a fear of the water she is only able to overcome with her love for fishing. Since arriving to Carolina Beach over a week ago, she’d been fishing the canal and Cape Fear River with no success and was really excited to try this fishing trip!
Everyone except mom caught fish but she had a great time! Captain Rob provided a first-time, wonderful experience and was perfect with my mom and the best for my family!

Rob is amazing. Super nice and friendly! Easy to talk to. His boat is really nice and clean. You could eat off the floor clean! Very stable and slices through the waves with ease. A really nice boat, and his equipment is top notch. He put me on the fish fast with tons of bites, but I’m a horrible fisherman and missed most of them. We did catch fish, but my inexperience costs me more. That was on me though and not Rob. Very highly recommend him for your outing. You won’t regret it! Wonderful experience with a great captain on an exceptional boat!

Great day in Carolina Beach fishing for Flounder
Morning Trip - Late Start on September 5, 2025 • 2 adults
Rob never fails to provide a fun and rewarding experience around Carolina Beach be it on the Cape Fear river estuary or on the ocean. We had a great morning during the short, open flounder season this year. Fantastic experience catching fish and being able to take it with us. We highly recommend going out with Captain Rob - he's a real pro and guarantees a great experience in very relaxed atmosphere.

We had a great time with Captain Rob. He took us out and we started catching fish 5 minutes after dropping the anchor. He helped the kids with getting off all the fish they caught, baited their hooks, and they were throwing them mud minnows back out to catch another one. Me and my family had an excellent time and would highly recommend Captain Rob.
