Just what we wanted

Before our trip, Izzy and I had several email correspondences back and forth discussing my preferences for the trip. Emails were always answered within the hour and although he didn’t make any promises (who can, it’s fishing, you never quite know what you’re going to get), the crew was sure to put us on exactly what we came for. I specifically told Izzy we wanted to troll for a billfish... needless to say, I got exactly what I asked for when we brought in this huge sailfish! On this 1/2 day am trip, we also brought in several jack, yellowfin tuna, and even a reef shark! Such a great day out on the water! Thanks again guys!

6 Hours trip with just salt crew

A holiday at the Maldives was a great idea. Before I traveled to the Maldives i got an idea, i wanted to try fishing in one of the most fantastic fishing places in the world, but I did't order any kind of trip before i was on the maldives. The hotel I was staying at was offering different kinds of experiences. One of them was water sports. We tried water sport and it was fun, but the crew wasn't as professional as we expected, and later we found out, that it was the same crew who organized the fishing trips, so i decided to find something else, and the result was the Just salt crew. The water sport crew was a lot cheeper, but there was no doubt in my mind, that the just salt crew was worth the money. The crew was great. They were friendly and helpful. We went for some trolling and some jigging, but we did't really have any luck with us. We caught one little grouper in 6 hours, but after the 6 hours we kept on fishing. It almost felt like the crew did't want to go back to the harbor. It paid of, and i caught a nice red snapper nearly one hour overtime. After i caught the fish, the crew decided to try a bit more in the area, and after some time we decided to go back in again.
Overall it was a nice trip, it had a great and professional crew, and the boat wasn't big but it was good. The nature is fantastic, and just salt is absolutely worth the money. I hope i get to go back sometime, and i am sure that i will pick just salt once again, and hopefully try the big game fishing.

This is my first time to do some night fishing in Male. The boat is not so big, but enough for my friend and I. The Captain and his crew were very nice and took us to some very good spots and it was really a very productive fishing trip.

Firaz (captain), and Keke (mate), fought lousy weather for hours to show up, on time, for our 6:00 am rendezvous on Eriyadu.
Conditions went from bad to worse, but Firaz put us on to fish, lots of grouper jigging, and a nice wahoo, trolling on our way to lunch.
The boys did all they could to make this a good day, and were not watching the clock, despite the long and arduous trip facing them back to Malé.

The captain and crew were awesome, good fun and chatty. They had great english as well so that was great. The boat was incredible. The equipment was all in very good condition. However, we did not catch any fish at all or have any bites. Was a little disappointed with that considering the price you pay however, that is what fishing is about. You win some, you lose some. All in all, fun experience.
