He caters to your needs whether you're an avid angler or you simply want to bring the family along for a fun fishing trip. You'll be fishing from a 24' 2017 Skeeter SX 240 that accommodates up to 4 guests. The boat is powered by a 300 HP Yamaha engine and features a Minn Kota trolling motor, a 10' Power Pole shallow water anchor, and Simrad GPS and fishfinder. This is a fast and well-built boat that will give you lots of time to fish.
Charlotte Harbor, the Gasparilla and Pine Island Sounds, and the Gulf of Mexico all combine to create a world-famous inshore and nearshore fishing experience. From hard-fighting sport fish such as Tarpon, Snook, Redfish, and Trout to good-eating creatures such as Grouper, Snapper, Tripletail, and Sheepshead, Captain Jared has you covered. Pick-up locations and custom fishing trips can also be arranged.
The livewell will be full of bait and Shimano rods and reels lined up before you even come aboard! After your trip, the crew will even fillet and bag your catch for you to enjoy a tasty dinner. Just bring some snacks and you'll be ready for the fun.

We had a open day while vacationing and last minute booked a trip with Jared. Hands down one of the best fishing guides we have had. I have three boys, two of which were exhausted from the vacation itself and Jared did amazing with them. He was patient, kind, and funny. He pointed out things for the kids to see such as a dolphine, manatee, and stingray. We caught quite a few fish, as well as trees and a few bridges, and a few rat nests in our lines from the boys casting over one another. Which again Jared didnt bat an eye at. He would ask the boys "what happened" 🤣 we would definitely fish with him again. If you head out with him, ask him to taste test the line if you lose a fish. (Inside joke)

Thats awesome !! ive been tasting every line after we cacth a fish to identify the fish to the taste 😂 . y’all where a superstar group with some young stud fishing men ! Had a great time waiting till next time 🤘

If you want a completely great experience fishing for Tarpon, then do not hesitate to book with Jared @ Living on the Line. He is very experienced, extremely knowledgeable about Tarpon, very helpful & "savvy" about fishing in the Gulf of Mexico. I did catch a monster Tarpon with Jared as the guide. If you want to fish for other species like Redfish, Snook, Sea Trout, or Permit, then he is your Man as well. I very much look forward to fishing with him again - it was an amazing experience fishing with Jared & the whole experience could have easily been a National Geographic Special - book with him - you won't be disappointed!

We had an amazing experience with Captain Jared on our recent fishing charter out of Boca Grande. I brought my wife along for what was her first time fishing since she was a kid—and thanks to Jared, she’s completely hooked now!
Captain Jared was the perfect guide: knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely passionate about making sure everyone has a great time. He knew exactly where to take us for the best action and made the whole experience fun, relaxed, and exciting. His boat was clean and comfortable, and he had all the gear ready to go, so we could just enjoy the day and focus on reeling them in.
Seeing my wife light up with excitement every time she got a bite was the highlight of the trip. She’s already asking when we can go back—and there’s no question we’ll be booking with Captain Jared again.
Highly recommend to anyone looking for an unforgettable day of fishing, whether you’re experienced or brand new to the sport. Thanks again, Captain Jared!

Fantastic trip

This was my trip for tarpon and Captains Jared and Steve-O really delivered. My son caught two huge tarpon and the captains' expert instruction got both to the boat for pics and successful release. After tarpon slowed down, we went out to a reef for permit fishing and I caught a 25 lb monster - amazing fight. My son caught one two and several more broke off in the rocks after fighting for awhile. Highly recommended - I've done many fishing trips and this was the best big fish trip ever!
