I booked an 8hr trip for my family my 12yr old son 17yr old daughter and her 17yr guy friend and my wife and I! This was the first trip out to sea for the majority of them and knew it was a gamble not knowing if any or all may not be able to handle being out at sea! Capt. Blake and his 1st mate Houston did everything they could to make us as comfortable as possible. The boat had A/C i used it for the hour or so ride to get out to our first spot I took a short nap! When we stopped at the first spot instantly as soon as the bait hit the water we started catching fish. We caught quite a few and after a few hrs couple of our group started feeling a little green but we fished on. I advised the Capt that we probably shouldnt go out much further even though i really wanted to catch at least one big fish I didnt want to risk any of them getting any worse. The Capt took us to several other spots where the water wasnt rolling as much or heck he may have bn controlling it by manuvering the boat! We were still catching fish. We managed to stay almost the entire 8hrs & I told the Capt we could head back in there was no hassle given he said that he understood and gave everyone a pat on the back for sticking it out as long as they did! Afterwards the 1st mate cleaned our catch and gave us a few instructions about keeping the fish fresh! The Mad Hadder and crew are TOP TIER people and awesome to hangout with and chat while fishing. Even got to see a huge sea turtle! If anyone is looking for a great time catching fish with great conversation this should be your first choice. Thanks Captain Blake and First mate Houston for a trip that me and my family can cherish for the rest of our life! Look forward to coming back and fishing with you guys next time we are down in OB!

Thanks Captain blake for putting us on the fish. we caught a bunch of Red Snapper , trigger fish, and hooked a few amberjacks but couldn’t land them. i would recommend this charter to anyone. The boat was comfortable and a/c felt great in the cabin. The mate Houston was spectacular and knew his stuff. He was curtious , knowledgeable,friendland helped us a bunch. It was a good trip. We caught enough fish for a few meals. Captain Blake did the best that he could to ensure we caught what we needed to and what he wanted us to. His boat is located at the beginning of the dock so we were out in the big water in about 10 minutes which gets you more time for fishing. And the deckhand did an excellent job keeping up with us making sure we had bait on our hooks at all times and bringing the fish on the boat.

On a scale of one to 10, this trip was a 15. Captain Blake went above and beyond to put us on fish. First mate Houston was top-notch. Great day on the water with the family. Can't wait to schedule next year's trip with him again. Awesome day on the water. Can't say enough great things about Captain Blake, and first mate Houston. Book with them if you can. It's no surprise that they are always booked up.

Couldn’t have asked for a better crew and day of fishing. Extremely friendly and hard working crew. You can tell captain Blake and Houston love what they do. They have an air conditioned area to escape the heat which was great. We had to reschedule because of weather and Captain Blake was super informative and communication was great. If you’re looking to have a great time on the water this is your spot!
