Captain Theo at Johnny Quest shows up early, runs a safe, efficient boat, puts you on the fish, and gets you safely home. What more could you ask for?
Captain Theo has taken my family fishing multiple times since we moved to Virginia Beach. He's my first choice for a day on the water and always finds a way to fill the freezer with fish. Clean, well-provisioned boats and friendly and professional mates, puts his charter among the top tier in Virginia waters.

Full Day Trip – Meat Hunt on July 3, 2025
Best day fishing I’ve ever had! Capt. Theo kept us on fish the entire day. He was kind and patient for our newer fishers, taught us all some new tricks, all while letting us be involved and have a blast! Will highly recommend if you want to get what you pay for and have a great time. Thanks again!!!

Capt Theo and his crew Dom helped us to catch a great haul of black bass, a bonus flounder and a conger eel on our trip.
Very comfortable boat and both Capt Theo and Dom were very friendly and helpful. Thoroughly recommended.

We are so glad we decided to go w/ Theo. He’s an amazing Captain and person. Very personable. We honestly felt like we’ve known him for years. He’s very laid back & kind. He listens & answered any questions we had. He was so patient when it came to showing me how to use the rods & cast. We actually went out w/ him 2 days in a row. We now consider him a friend and plan on coming up again next year.

We booked a trip with Captain Theo to check Cobia off the bucket list.
Captain Theo was a great communicator, set cleat expectations for the day and worked hard to make sure we had a great day fishing. He put us on the fish and we ended up with a citation worthy Cobia.
I would definately recommend booking with Captain Theo. You won't be dissapointrd.

This trip timed out at 2 pm but we stayed the course and kept on fishing for our clients. Within the next hour we hooked up on this 50 inch Citation Cobia followed up by a cool 39 inch Cobia 2 total. It's was a pleasure to fish with you guys David thank you for being patient with us.
