Captain Tim was awesome! We did not have the wind on our side and the forecast just didn’t happen the way it was supposed to. Captain Tim still put us on fish. The kids had a blast, we all had great conversation, it was just a great trip. We will be booking with him again.

4 hour afternoon trip
4 Hour PM - Kingfish Trip on August 26, 2023 • 4 adults
Our trip began with a cruise along the beach looking for live bait. The baitfish were scarce so Captain Chris headed offshore and quickly adapted our itinerary to bottom fishing. We were kept busy catching Red Snapper and a few other random species. Captain Chris kept everyone’s hook baited, and offered tips on technique. The most exciting moment was when my son hooked something big enough to run away with the line. He struggled to reel it in and after fighting it for a few minutes the line snapped. Captain Chris speculated it was a Goliath Grouper. On our way in we trolled for Tarpon and got a hit but the hooks didn’t set. It was a great day on the water and we learned a lot. Hoodoo Fishing charters provided a personable and professional fishing experience and I would recommend them to anyone.

6 Hour Trip – Nearshore on September 5, 2022 • 2 adults
Less than an hour on our spot, as other captains on radio were bailing out, Cap’n Tim and Mate Jeff had my 13yo fighting our 3rd meaty King, 2 already in the box.
The 3rd King was reluctant to be caught and my kid fell out fighting the fish first to heat then sickness. 2hrs into a 6hr charter I knew the day was over. Cap’n Tim and Jeff responded with kindness and empathy. After my son fed the fish and slightly recovered Mate Jeff tried to distract him by teaching my boy to tie knots. But the day was done.
End of day the 3 Kings gave us enough meat that we could share with neighbors. My son blew past the negatives and has been tying rigs with the knots Jeff taught him and putting them in bags just like Cap’n Tim. Not the way we drew it up, but success is measured in different ways.
Had I been with my buddies, or my son on a different day, Ive no doubt Cap’n Tim could fill those fish boxes to the brim.
