Great first experience for grandson!
Full Day Trip on August 12, 2025 • 3 adults
We booked this trip with Captain Kyle to kick-start a birthday adventure on the Oregon coast for our 16 year old grandson, who lives in Minnesota and has shown a recent keen interest in fishing. Under Captain Kyle all five of us in the boat reeled in a nice chinook salmon within 3-1/2 hours. After more enjoyable days of crabbing and deep-sea fishing elsewhere, our grandson stated that his favorite part of the birthday adventure was reeling in that chinook salmon! No doubt this experience will be forever remembered.

Fun Fishing with Captain Kyle

My 13 year-old grandson and I booked this trip as part of an annual vacation. This morning, he had never caught a fish. This afternoon he is basking in the sunlight of success. :-). It was a beautiful day and a wonderful experience for us both. Captain Kyle was patient and personable. He did a great job guiding our group and engaging with us along the way. We are already talking about next year.

Captain Kyle is fantastic!

Took my son (11) out with me on Kyle’s boat for salmon fishing in Nehalem Bay. We were paired up with another small group and had great success finding Chinook. Would highly recommend Kyle as a guide.

Kyle set the tone of the fishing trip from the beginning of day with his humor and charm and that allowed all the boat’s passengers to enjoy not only the great fishing but also each other’s company. Even during a difficult situation caused by no one’s fault but perhaps a smart fish all our poles got tangled up and as a team we were quickly able to disentangle them as we already were happy with the tone of the fishing trip. We each caught a fish as well, allowing each other to share the rods that had a fish on.
