El Jefe Boat Charters is a company dedicated to providing the best possible fishing experience out of Puerto Peñasco. Captain Jefe Cruz will do his best to make sure the trip is tailored to your individual needs and wants. Whether you're an experienced angler or someone who's just starting out, you're welcome to come aboard and have fun!
Your boat for the day is the 'El Jefe' - a 24' Bayliner Trophy walkaround that's powered by twin 115 HP Yamaha engines. Outfitted with all the necessary safety equipment and a full range of navigation electronics, she's got all you need for a safe and productive visit to the Gulf of California.
There's plenty to do in the Gulf angling-wise. Your main targets for the trip will usually be Triggerfish, Black Seabass, and the California Corbina. If you're lucky, you might run into some Red Snapper as well. Shorter trips usually involve light tackle fishing only, but Capt. Jefe also has heavier tackle to use on longer excursions.
Rods, reels, and terminal tackle are all included in the price of a given trip. Not only that, but the crew will clean the catch after the trip for your convenience. Complimentary water, soda, and beer will be waiting for you on board, so feel free to bring some snacks if you like. Otherwise, don't forget your polarized sunglasses and get ready to make some fishing memories together!

Another GREAT day!

Second trip with El jefe! It did not disappoint. Fished with his new captain Dino. not great English, but communication was not a problem as all we did was catch fish. I promised my friends they would catch more fish than they could catch and that happened. We booked a six hour trip and within four hours everybody was so tired from reeling in fish that we cut the trip short. El jefe’s charters is the only one to use in Mexico. Signed El Guapo!

Great Holiday Fishing Trip

I took my son on his first fishing trip at sea, and Jefe was our Captain. He was very professional, patient, and knowledgeable. He knew exactly the areas he needed to be in to provide us the best opportunities for fishing. During our 4-hour trip my son and I caught over thirty fish. His boat was clean, and he kept it that way throughout the trip. He had an additional crew member, and that gentleman was extremely professional and knowledgeable as well. Overall, it was a perfect fishing day and a great first experience for my son and me. I would recommend Jefe Boat Charters to anyone.

Great Work Out Shoulders Will be Hurting

El Jefe had a different guy being the capatin but don’t work he will get you were the fish is. I know now why El Jefe trust him so much. Half of us quit because it was too much catching.
The bathroom is a little tight for big guys but you will be too busy catching.
The one think I can tell you bring sleep resistant footwear.
Get ready to cash fit, and have a workout.

Great Fishing trip !

This was our first charter in Mexico and we caught a lot of fish! The Captain was very knowledgeable & friendly. Safe, reasonably priced and well worth it ! We only fished for a couple of hours and caught over 20 fish! Will definitely be going again!

Caught so many fish. Dino worked hard to keep us busy. I would recommend bringing your own beverages. Water was available but warm and limited Great trip. came home with a cooler full and sore arms.
